WHAT: Power 96 once again reaches out to the South Florida community with a 36-hour Radiothon to help raise money for Miami Children’s Hospital’s Radio Lollipop program, the innovative, in-house radio station designed to stimulate the minds and raise the spirits of the young patients.
Last year, Power 96 WPOW-FM raised over $170,000 for Radio Lollipop, more than tripling the $50,000 raise at the inaugural event in 2007! In addition to numerous local celebrities stopping by, including Pitbull and Flo-Rida, several recording artists called in from around the country to make a donation!
During the 36-hour broadcast, Power 96 will be accepting donations from several Walmart locations in Miami-Date and Broward Counties. For the final 12-hour stretch, everyone is invited to Hialeah Gardens Walmart Superstore for a live broadcast by Miami legend DJ Laz. One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit Miami Children’s Hospital.
