Ellise Cappuccio, MD
Medical Director, Pain Management Clinic
Dr. Ellise Cappuccio is an anesthesiologist and serves as the Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS) medical director of the Pain Management Clinic. In her role as medical director, Dr. Cappuccio is responsible for setting the strategy for the Pain Management Clinic, as well as overseeing all clinical care, quality metrics, teaching, research and fiscal planning. She earned her medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Dr. Cappuccio completed a residency in anesthesiology at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, followed by an additional fellowship in comprehensive pediatric pain medicine at the same institution. Her clinical interests include regional anesthesia, chronic pain syndromes and obesity.
Dr. Cappuccio is board certified in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Society of Pediatric Anesthesia and Society for Pediatric Pain Medicine. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has presented at medical conferences.
Dr. Cappuccio is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
