Also known as: retinal photography.
Fundus photography is a test used to obtain images of the retina. This gives an ophthalmologist a clearer picture of how the eye is working in the diagnosis of many eye problems.
The procedure for fundus photography is fairly straightforward. The patient sits in front of the camera with their chin and forehead pressed against bars and stares into the camera. A flash occurs as the photograph is taken.
