Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up for the Portal?

Enrolling in My Nicklaus Children's Patient Portal is quick and easy. Follow these steps:

  1. Email invitation – Once you have registered at the hospital, urgent care center or visited a physician’s office that is part of Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, you will receive an email to create your child’s Patient Portal account. If you cannot find the email in your inbox or spam/junk folder, please contact HIM department at 305-669-6412 for assistance.
  2. Registration – Click on the link in your email to create your account.
  3. Verification – Verification of the patient’s identity is required. You will need to enter the patient’s date of birth and the zip code used during registration at the hospital/urgent care center.
  4. Account creation – After account verification is complete, you will be prompted to create a Cerner Health Account. If the patient is a minor, parent information is required to create an account. The username for this account can only contain letters and numbers, no symbols.
  5. View the health record – Once you are in the account, you can review the health record.  When using a cellphone:
  •  Click the 3 lines on the top left corner of the screen to open menu
  •  Click Health Record

Can I have a single My Nicklaus Children's Portal account for multiple children?

Yes! You should receive an invitation for each child and will need to register them individually. A parent with one account can be linked to multiple children as long as the same email address was provided.

What if I don't see all my records?

For medical records that are not included on your My Nicklaus Children's portal and for which you need a copy, please complete the authorization for record request. You may contact the office of Health Information Management (HIM) at  www.nicklauschildrens.org/HIM Monday - Friday 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. for assistance in obtaining medical records.
