MIAMI, FL. — Leopoldo Malvezzi, MD, FAAP, Miami Children’s Hospital Pediatric Surgeon, was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Fellows of the AAP are recognized by their colleagues and the Board of Directors as demonstrating excellence in training, leading to Board Certification, as well as demonstrating high ethical and professional principles.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Malvezzi is a pediatric surgeon at Miami Children’s Hospital. He received his medical degree at the medical school in Milan, Italy. Dr. Malvezzi obtained a research fellowship in vascular surgery at Morristown Memorial Hospital, New Jersey, where he also completed his general surgery residency as a Chief Resident. He later came to Miami Children’s Hospital, where he completed his fellowship in pediatric surgery.
