Miami - Governor Charlie Crist visited Miami Children's Hospital (MCH) during a trip to South Florida on September 3 to create awareness about H1N1 Swine Flu prevention. “This is why I am here…to promote hand washing,” said Crist, as he displayed the hospital’s “Squeaky Clean” poster to members of the media in the main lobby of the hospital. The Governor toured the hospital, met patients, families, and medical staff, and discussed H1N1 hospital readiness with MCH administrators and physicians. “Squeaky Clean” is a Miami Children's Hospital initiative that reminds visitors to wash their hands or use an antibacterial hand wipe while at the hospital to prevent transmission of disease-causing microorganisms. Several hand wipe stations are located throughout the main campus.
