Detroit Pistons’ Point Guard and former MCH patient Brandon Knight visited MCH on Thursday, August 30th. He came to visit the same unit at MCH where he was once a Neurosurgery patient at age 15.
An MCH Pediatric Neurosurgeon operated on Brandon and within three-months of his surgery he was back on the basketball courts. That year, he led the Pine Crest Panthers to the state championship title and in 2008 he was named the Broward County Player of the Year.
Brandon has earned honor including back-to-back Gatorade National Basketball High School Player of the Year and a member of the NBA All-Rookie First Team last season with Detroit.
