MIAMI, FL — Jeanette Diana, ARNP, pediatric surgery nurse practitioner at Miami Children's Hospital, received the “Founder’s Award” from the American Pediatric Surgical Nurses’ Association (APSNA) for her significant contribution to the care of pediatric surgical patients and her visionary leadership within the hospital and the community at large.

She’s a tremendous ambassador for Miami Children's Hospital and for the APSNA,” said Jackie Gonzalez, ARNP, MSN, CNAA, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Miami Children's. “Jeanette’s contributions are many. For years children and their families have benefited from her clinical competence and family centered approach to care.”
Ms. Diana has been employed by Miami Children's Hospital for 28 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill followed by her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Miami. Her comprehensive experience at Miami Children's has spanned from hematology/oncology, recovery to education, anesthesiology, and pediatric surgery.
