Lissete Vega, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC
Lissete Vega is a board-certified nurse practitioner with the Division of Neurosurgery, part of the Brain Institute at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Florida International University in Miami in 2018. Ms. Vega then completed her nurse practitioner training with a master’s degree in nursing at the same institution in 2023. She later obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in 2024.
Ms. Vega joined Nicklaus Children’s in 2018 as a registered nurse and provided care to Neurosurgery inpatients in 5 Tower for three years. In 2022, Ms. Vega transitioned to the Vascular Access Team, where she served as an IV/PICC nurse for two years. After completing her nurse practitioner training in 2023, she began seeing patients with the Division of Neurosurgery.
Ms. Vega is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, Florida Nurses Association, Society of Pediatric Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing – Pi Alpha Chapter.
Ms. Vega is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
