Julia Zubillaga, PsyD
Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Dr. Julia Zubillaga is a pediatric neuropsychologist with the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Brain Institute. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology from Albizu University in Miami, Florida. Dr. Zubillaga completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited predoctoral internship in neuropsychological/psychoeducational assessment at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California. She then pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Abbey Neuropsychology Clinic in Palo Alto, California. Her clinical interests include traumatic and acquired brain injuries, cardiac neurodevelopment, hematology/oncology, and solid organ transplant.
Prior to joining Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Dr. Zubillaga served as a pediatric neuropsychologist at Carolinas Medical Center/Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Zubillaga is a member of the American Psychological Association, American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, National Academy of Neuropsychology and Hispanic Neuropsychological Society, where she participates on the Communications Committee. She has presented her work at national medical conferences.
Dr. Zubillaga is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
