Natanya Maio Mishal, MD Co-Medical Director, Inpatient Neurology
Dr. Natanya Maio Mishal is a pediatric neurologist with the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Brain Institute and serves as the co-medical director of inpatient neurology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Mishal completed a residency in pediatrics at University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric neurology at University of California San Diego/Rady Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include neuroimmunology, epilepsy and neurocritical care. Dr. Mishal is board certified in neurology with a special qualification in pediatric neurology. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented at medical conferences. Dr. Mishal is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the physician-led multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. Founded in 2001, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s Brain Institute is one of the largest comprehensive pediatric programs dedicated solely to the care of the developing brain.
