My name is Sandra and I work at Miami Children’s Health System (MCHS) as an IT Project Manager. As such, my work does not require direct patient contact, however, I feel honored that my work although indirect, helps the children of our community. Every day I come to work I feel I make a difference in the lives of the children and their families. The sacrifices I make to be at work every day, I make them knowing that I am doing them for the future leaders of our community, our children. I have also been in the receiving end as the mother of two whom I have brought to Nicklaus Children’s to receive care and I have to say that the care they have received has been exceptional. My children like to come to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital to receive care. My daughter does not let anyone take her blood unless it is someone from the Patient Access Department. They show compassion and are very gentle with her. My son recently broke his wrist and yesterday we were told that it healed perfectly. I thank the entire body of individuals that work at MCHS for the outstanding work they do, everyone contributing in their own way with their own expertise. This also makes me very eager and enthusiastic to come to work every day with a smile on my face and proud to say that I work for such an outstanding institution. It is truly an honor and feel very blessed to work here!
