Director, Pediatric Hospitalist Fellowship Program
Dr. Melissa Clemente is an attending physician within the Division of Hospital Medicine and serves as director of the Pediatric Hospitalist Fellowship Program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela Escuela de Medicina José María Vargas in Caracas. Dr. Clemente then completed a residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include medical education and quality improvement.
Dr. Clemente is board certified in general pediatrics. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and member of the AAP’s Section on Hospital Medicine. Dr. Clemente is also active on various hospital committees, including the Medical Education, Medical Records, Medication Safety and committees. Her work has been published in medical journals and she has presented at conferences.
Dr. Clemente is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She sees patients at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
