Camp Roaring Sun

Camp Roaring Sun is a camp exclusively for children ages 6 through 11 with type 1 diabetes who are treated at Nicklaus Children's Hospital or the surrounding area.

 The camp began in 1989 and is currently a weeklong day camp. The campers enjoy a week of fun in the sun with various activities while also gaining the knowledge and skills needed to manage their diabetes. The campers are supervised by the Nicklaus Children's pediatric endocrinology nurses and dedicated counselors.

Camp Roaring Sun is sponsored by Nicklaus Children's Hospital with support from Lions Club International.
