Jorge Gonzalez, vice chairman and chief executive officer of City National Bank of Florida (CNB), has joined the Board of Directors of Nicklaus Children’s Health System, parent organization of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Mr. Gonzalez has also been a member since 2016 of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Board of Directors, serving on the hospital’s board finance and investment committees.

With more than 30 years of banking experience, Mr. Gonzalez has held various high-profile executive positions. Prior to joining CNB, Florida’s third largest bank and one of the top 100 in the nation, Mr. Gonzalez was regional president of Wachovia National Bank for Southeast Florida. He became CEO of City National Bank in 2009.
Driven by the vision of CNB as Florida’s iconic bank, he has grown the bank from $3 billion to more than $18 billion in assets, while diversifying the institution to include business, personal, commercial, corporate and private banking, as well as wealth management, commercial real estate and specialty finance.
